But first we'd like to tell you all that this is part of our dearest MaxMom's wonderful efforts to unite us all through the 2010 World Cup Unity in Diversity being hosted by MaxMom's beautiful country, South Africa! We invite you all to stop by Living Life to the MAX and it will take you to lots of great blogs covering the different countries participating in this year's World Cup!
Shown above is the flag of Italy --- do you notice the similarity of my photo and the flag?! Guess you now know how I got the reporting duty today. Weeeeeee
Alright, let's start off with the official stuff... Italy, also known as Azzurri which means Blue, is the 2nd most successful team. You see, they have won the World Cup 4 times including the 2006 World Cup! Prior to this were in 1934, 1938 & 1982.
Azzurri's Team Captain Fabio Cannavaro during the 2006 World Cup
And now... let me tell you about some puppy breeds from Italy.
Do you remember the adorable pup in Harry Potter?! Yup, he's a Neapolitan Mastiff (Naples).
Bolognese (not the spaghetti, please) belong to the Bichon family and this breed is from Bologna. The adorable Maremma Sheepdog & the Bracco Italiano.
As for food that originated or maybe has become famous let us start off with:
1. Pasta or Noodles - Spaghetti, Lasagna, Rigatoni, Farfarle
2. Cheese, Cheese and more Cheese!
3. Gelato - like Ice Cream
4. Cold cuts - prosciutto, Parma ham
5. Tiramizu
6. Pizza!!!
Yum Yum Yummy!!!
