Happy Birthday Koko!!!

Hello to all our furry friends, Piappies Mommy here. Allow me to take over the Piappies blog for today. You might be wondering what the photo above is all about. Are these the fave stuffies of the Piappies? Hmmm... are these ALL stuffies? Do you notice that there is one that is NOT a stuffie? You're right, that's Koko you see in the middle.

Now, who is Koko, you might ask. Koko is the puppy that I've dedicated this blog to and today is the best day to tell you all about him.

On February 24, 1985, Koko came to our home as a gift to my brother. He was very playful, sweet and loving. We instantly fell in love with him.

Our Mom would take him for car rides when she'd pick us up from school. He loved looking out the car window and feel the wind on this face. He had his OWN space on our bed, he loved baths, playing with toys --- chewing on our watches (!), getting tummy rubs and even being groomed. He enjoyed doing fun things ---

we watched our favorite shows on TV

he entertained us with his dancing moves

and even agreed to wear a dress and a ribbon for the flashy box! Silly Koko!

We grew up together --- Koko was my constant companion. For years, he never got tired of waiting for me to come home, staying by my side when I was sick, protecting me from strangers (ok, maybe he was just being possessive) and just being his adorable self.

Koko was also a loving and protective dad to his son Kiko. At that time, we also had a poodle, YumYum, that completed their trio. They all provided lots of laughter and love in our home.

After sharing nine wonderful years with Koko, he crossed over the rainbow bridge on July 15, 1994. I was heartbroken and I thought I would not be able to get over his loss.

Up until the Piappies found us and made our home their furever world. I've come to realize that memories of Koko never fade. I still remember the fun times we had and it sure brings a smile on my face.

Now, I take the chance to thank you, furry friends and hoomans for accepting our friendship and allowing us to share our fun adventures together. Reading your stories become constant reminders that furry friends indeed prove the power of unconditional love and giving back the love and care is the least we can do for them. We share this love with all of you as well.

Happy Happy Birthday, My Dearest Koko!
Thank you so much for being part of my growing up years.
I may not see you running and dancing anymore but you live furever in my heart.
Watch over the Piappies and all our furry friends. Love you furever!

Sending Love Across the Miles

Greetings to all our furry friends! As we join the whole furry bloggie world in watching over dear Max and Maxdog Mom, we here at Piappies World are dedicating today's post to Max. A few nights back, we read through the past posts Max and we really could feel how much love and care is shared within each post. We have been entertained by the stories, informed about how beautiful South Africa is and most of all inspired by the love that bonds Maxdog Mom and Max and his pack. Truly, Max continues to touch our lives and we are here to send our love and prayers.

As a small token, we have borrowed some of our favorite photos of Max and came up with this...

We hope you like it, Max and Maxdog Mom!

To all our wonderful furry friends, thank you for letting us within your circle of paws. We feel so lucky to have your friendships.

Hugs and Kisses,
Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Scrappy & Bullet (and Mommy)

Hmmm... Mom, I Could Use Some Help

Hi there furry friends, it's me, Bullet. I want to share my first... hmmm... "adventure" here in our home sweet home. You see, ever since Scrappy and I settled here in our "other" furever home, we've been busy exploring the place and adjusting to our environment.

As a puppy growing up in our "Piappies World" home, my favorite sleeping spot is in between the grills and the door of the terrace entrance.
Fudgie used to hang out here too when he was a pup. Check out Mocha's lil piappies "photo flipbook" on our side bar at the right, she loves my spot too.

Aside from it being my favorite sleeping spot, I also hang out there during boring days. I easily wiggle my way in and out of the grills to get my leash free. It actually amazes my hooman family how I've managed to do this even if I have already grown so much. In fact, I still slept there just before we moved! Alright, for better visuals, let me share with you a couple of photos...

Back in our new "other home"...last weekend, while I was scouting for my favorite spot, I found myself puzzled with these pillars by the front door. They seem different from the grills but I figured, this was a lot easier to manage. True enough I was able to get my head in between the pillars. And then... I realized... how was I going to get out?!

Uh oh... silly me...waaaaaah Help Mom Help!!!

After hearing some chuckles and mumbles from Mom, not to mention taking a snappy click with the flashy box, Mom came to rescue me! Mom was so upset with the nasty pillars that she almost had them knocked down.

Now, if you're wondering what Scrappy was doing while was stuck and could only pray for help... Mom found him trying to fit his head in the next two pillars beside me! Such a silly brother I've got but I sure love him anyway.

Worry not about me, furry friends, I'm a-ok! It truly was an adventure for me.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Let's please continue to pray for our dear friend Max... Thankies everyone!

A Special Prayer for Max

It's me Frappie... we join our furry friends in supporting Max and his family as they go through some difficult times. We have Max in our thoughts and we keep our paws crossed in prayer.

Please say a prayer for him, or better yet, do visit The Adventures of Maxdog. He is really very sweet and special.

Max
