Go Italia! Go Azzurri!

Wai-Pai: "Hey Maxie! What's with the serious face?!"
Wai-Max: " We got to win this game tonight! The Azzurri's have to make lots of goooooaaaals!"
Wai-Pai: "Got that covered! The Piappies have a few tips on how to get those goals and I sure hope we're not too late! The game is on right now!"

Frappie: "I say, they bite the ball and sprint to the goal!"

Mocha: "I say, kick the ball sideways while moving towards the goal!"

Sugar: "I think, the best thing to do is make a goal and just keep the ball in the goal until the time runs out!"

Fudgie: "Hmmm... Let me see, how this works...I could touch the ball right? Technically, I have 4 legs... hmmm..."

Princess: "Alright, Piappies, I say, let's leave the strategies and the pros and just cheer for Azzurri the best we can, right Mommy? Now, all the kicking has been tiring. Where are our treats... please?!"

Go Italia! Go for the goal, Azzurri!!!

Unity in Diversity: Italy

Viva Italia furry friends from all over the world! It's me, Wai-Pai and I'm so excited to tell you about my favorite team --- Italy!

But first we'd like to tell you all that this is part of our dearest MaxMom's wonderful efforts to unite us all through the 2010 World Cup Unity in Diversity being hosted by MaxMom's beautiful country, South Africa! We invite you all to stop by Living Life to the MAX and it will take you to lots of great blogs covering the different countries participating in this year's World Cup!

Shown above is the flag of Italy --- do you notice the similarity of my photo and the flag?! Guess you now know how I got the reporting duty today. Weeeeeee

Alright, let's start off with the official stuff... Italy, also known as Azzurri which means Blue, is the 2nd most successful team. You see, they have won the World Cup 4 times including the 2006 World Cup! Prior to this were in 1934, 1938 & 1982.

Azzurri's Team Captain Fabio Cannavaro during the 2006 World Cup

And now... let me tell you about some puppy breeds from Italy.
Do you remember the adorable pup in Harry Potter?! Yup, he's a Neapolitan Mastiff (Naples).
Bolognese (not the spaghetti, please) belong to the Bichon family and this breed is from Bologna. The adorable Maremma Sheepdog & the Bracco Italiano.

As for food that originated or maybe has become famous let us start off with:
1. Pasta or Noodles - Spaghetti, Lasagna, Rigatoni, Farfarle
2. Cheese, Cheese and more Cheese!
3. Gelato - like Ice Cream
4. Cold cuts - prosciutto, Parma ham
5. Tiramizu

6. Pizza!!!

Yum Yum Yummy!!!

* Breaking News: Game Score for today's match against Paraguay:

2nd Bandana Day

Hello to all furry friends out there! Fudgie here and I'm here to share with you the photos we submitted to the 2nd Annual Bandana Day!

This fun event is being hosted by our friend Sue of The Portuguese Water Blog. Do drop by to meet Tsar, Fudge (hey, we got almost the same name --- how cool is that?!), Samba and the rest of our friends there.

Here is all you got to do... Wear anything red and email the photos to: wilcoxhall@ymail.com please include your name, country you're from and the link to your blog.

There is a bit of rush on deadline though since Sue has asked to all photos to be submitted by 10 June. Waaaaah yup... that's almost like NOW but if you do have an existing "red-themed photos" you can definitely make it. C'mon do join the event and send you "red" photo.

Now we are our photos. We hope you like them:

Princess is the love of my life! She's being shy in this photo. Silly, Princess!

Frappie gave Mommy a hard time with this photo, I guess it's because he likes blue.

It's a good thing Mocha was feeling like a model here or Mommy would be chasing her around the garden to snap a photo.

Sugar is wearing this special bandana in preparation for the World Cup! We are looking forward to this as we are joining MaxMom for this spectacular event happening in South Africa! Do visit her at Living Life to the Max to know more.

And finally, the Wai-Pups -- Wai-Pai and Wai-Max -
yeah, Wai-Max's ears are still up.

By the way, thank you so much for the kind words you left on Wai-Max's post previously. In the hope to clarify things with my dear Wai-Max, I did some research about my puppy pawrents and I was told that I happen to be a Chow Chow and Japanese Spitz mix. My Princess love is a native Philippine dog. Hmmm alright... where he got his GSD looks is one I have no answer at the moment but it doesn't matter for we love GSD and it's great that he kinda look a bit like our furiends Anna and Sagira.

The Wai-Pup furs may still change, and their ears may still stand up or droop down but one thing will never change and that is they are my special Wai-Max & Wai-Pai.

Hope you are all having a great week!

-Fudgie

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Hello furry friends, Wai-Max here. Just wanted to ask if you guys went through this stage that I'm going through now... Do you notice something different about me in these photos?

Yup, this is STILL me...

I think it's normal that our fur is still changing its color, but why are my ears going up?! Wai-Pai's aren't. Should I be worried?! Do I still look like ME? Help!

- Wai-Max
